← FolioSum

Setup guide

Everything you need to connect an exchange, a wallet or a brokerage. Each exchange below matches the hint shown inside the app.

⚠ Always create READ-ONLY keys. FolioSum only reads balances — it never trades or withdraws. Never enable trading, futures or withdrawal permissions on a key you paste into any app, including this one.

No API key needed

These venues are read by wallet address only — nothing to create, nothing to leak.

Aster

Aster (perp DEX): no API key needed — just paste the wallet address you trade with. Reads your perp balances, unrealized PnL and staked ASTER. Turn OFF privacy mode in your Aster account, otherwise it returns no data.

Hyperliquid

Stocks from non-US markets

US stocks and ETFs work out of the box — just type the ticker. For any other exchange you define the market once, then add as many of its stocks as you like.

One-time: define the market

Settings → Market types → add a market with three fields:

Then: add the stock

Settings → Platforms → add a platform and pick your new market as its type. Now add an asset with the plain ticker — the app appends the suffix for you.

Worked example — SAP on the Frankfurt exchange

  1. Market types → Name DE Stock, Suffix .DE, Currency EUR
  2. Platforms → add “My German broker”, type DE Stock
  3. Add asset → symbol SAP, quantity 25
  4. FolioSum queries SAP.DE, gets the price in EUR, converts it to USD and then to your display currency

Not sure about a suffix? Look the company up on Yahoo Finance and copy the exact symbol it shows — the part after the dot is your suffix. The full official list lives in Yahoo's exchange help page.

Exchanges that quote in sub-units are handled for you. The London Stock Exchange quotes in pence (GBp), the JSE in cents (ZAc) and Tel Aviv in agorot (ILA) — one hundredth of the main currency. FolioSum reads the currency Yahoo actually reports and divides automatically, so the value is right whichever of the two codes you enter.

Wallets

Add under Settings → Wallets. Pick the chain, paste the address. Native balances on all of these are free and need no key.

CodeChainAddress looks like

Sui, Aptos and Starknet also use 0x… addresses, so always pick the right chain — otherwise the address is treated as EVM.

Import many wallets at once

Wallets screen → the ↑ icon → pick a .txt file. One wallet per line:

CHAIN [name] ADDRESS

Separators can be spaces, -, |, , or ;. The name is optional. Example:

ETH Main wallet 0xabc123...
BTC Cold storage bc1q...
ADA Staking addr1...
STRK Starknet 0x049d36...

Use the chain codes from the table above. Duplicates and addresses shorter than 20 characters are skipped.

Optional API keys

The app works without these. Each one unlocks extra data — add them under Settings → API Key.
